Pinball Fantasies: Encore! for MorphOS ====================================== Pinball Fantasies (Digital Illusions, 1994) on its own engine, written from the DOS game's code: the four tables, their original rules and physics, and redrawn high-resolution artwork you can switch on and off at any time. https://github.com/pedrocatalao/pinball-fantasies-encore (French: LisezMoi-MorphOS.txt) Requirements ------------ - MorphOS 3.20 or later (it comes with the OpenSSL library the game uses), and a Radeon driven by r300.library. - For the HD version, an R500 Radeon: X1300, X1600, X1650, X1800, X1900 or X1950 (tried on an X1950 Pro). Older Radeons (9500 to X850) play the original version: the original pictures, without the HD ones, the dot display effect or the CRT look. - sdl3.library in LIBS:. - The original game files, from the 1994 MS-DOS release only. Installing ---------- Copy the drawer anywhere and start PinballFantasiesEncore. The game files go into the FANTASY drawer beside it; with none there, the first start offers to fetch them, if you own the game. It then offers the remastered artwork (about 30 MB): say no and you get the original pictures. The Internet is only needed for these downloads and the online high scores. Without it the game plays with what its drawer holds (the original pictures if the artwork is not there yet), and a high score waits in replays/outbox to be sent the next time the game starts online. Everything stays in the drawer: options, high scores, recordings (replays/), game files, artwork. Nothing goes to ENV: or ENVARC:.
