Short: EDuke32 - Duke Nukem 3D, Ion Fury, Shadow Warrior Author: BeWorld Type: game/shoot Version: 1.1 Architecture: ppc-morphos Requires: morphos 3.20, sdl2.library 2.32, TinyGL, vorbisfile.library EDuke32 (https://www.eduke32.com) ported to MorphOS: the Build engine games, drawn with TinyGL (OpenGL) or the classic software renderer. The games themselves are not included: you need the original game files. GAMES - Duke Nukem 3D and its add-ons (Duke Caribbean, Duke it out in D.C., Nuclear Winter...) - NAM, NAPALM, WWII GI, Platoon Leader - Ion Fury (needs fury.grp and fury.grpinfo) - Shadow Warrior (voidsw; eduke32 lists it too and starts voidsw for it) INSTALLATION 1. Copy the eDuke32 drawer where you like. sdl2.library 2.32 goes in LIBS:. 2. Copy the game files into its DATA drawer, for example: DATA/DUKE3D.GRP DATA/fury.grp and DATA/fury.grpinfo DATA/NAM.GRP, DATA/WW2GI.GRP, DATA/PLATOONL.DAT, DATA/VACATION.GRP DATA/SW.GRP 3. Start eDuke32. Each game keeps its settings, saves and add-ons in its own drawer, made at its first start: DATA/duke3d/, DATA/fury/, DATA/sw/... STARTUP WINDOW - Choose the game, the video mode, the input devices and a custom content directory. - Graphics, Audio and Game pages for the settings of each game. - Apply to similar games: gives a page's settings to the games of the same family. - Reset to defaults, Message Log, and a Project menu with About. To skip the window, name the game: eduke32 -gamegrp fury.grp MODS Put the ZIP of a Duke Nukem 3D mod in DATA/ as it is: it shows in the startup window as a game of its own, played with Duke Nukem 3D unless it has its own game data. At its first start its files are copied once to DATA//. Keep the ZIP: without it, the mod is gone from the list. Tested with Brutal Duke 0.2.0, Alien Armageddon 5.91 (about 1.2 GB once copied), Duke Nukem Advance for PC and Weapon of Mass Destruction 1.51b. SPEED - 640x480 or 800x600 windowed is the best choice on most machines. Ion Fury starts at 640x480 without voxels, shadows and fullbright pixels. - Voxels and shadows cost the most; turn them off first. - With vertical sync on, the frame rate drops to half the refresh rate as soon as a frame takes longer than one refresh. - eduke32 -bench 200 -map measures the speed of a level. CHANGES 1.1 (5.11.2026) New - Mods: a mod's ZIP put in DATA/ shows in the startup window as a game of its own and is copied to DATA// at its first start. - Startup window: a Project menu with About and the link to support the port. - Startup window: Apply to similar games gives a page's settings to the games of the same family. - Ion Fury starts with the lightest graphics by default: 640x480 windowed, without voxels, shadows and fullbright pixels. Reset to defaults also gives the Graphics page its default video mode. Fixed - Duke Nukem 3D 1.4: crash in the game scripts (Illegal Data Access). - White screen at startup with a config whose video mode cannot be set: the game is drawn at the size of the mode actually set, and saves that one. - A game whose drawer has a dot in its name (DATA/duke3d_1.5/) ignored the settings of the startup window. - Paths with \ in the mods made on Windows are found. - Startup window: a setting's value that its gadget cannot show is kept as it is. 1.0 (25.10.2026) First release: Duke Nukem 3D and its add-ons, NAM, NAPALM, WWII GI, Platoon Leader, Ion Fury and Shadow Warrior, drawn with TinyGL or the software renderer.
