MorphOS-Storage – File upload
Submit an archive with its readme file. Optional screenshot and video link.
📦 How to make a good archive (please read before uploading)
- One drawer named after the program, e.g.
SRecord. Everything goes inside it. - The executable has the same name as the drawer:
SRecord/SRecord. - Icons and documentation go inside the drawer (
.info,.guide,Catalogs/…). The drawer iconSRecord.infocan sit next to the drawer. - Put a version string in the executable, with the same version as the archive:
$VER: SRecord 1.0 (29.10.2026)— program name, version, then the date as day.month.year. Check it in a Shell withversion SRecord/SRecord full. - Archive the drawer itself, not only its content: create the archive from the directory that
contains the drawer, so that it unpacks into a
SRecorddrawer. - Test it: unpack the archive in
RAM:and start the program before uploading.
Expected content
SRecord_1.0.lha ├── SRecord/ the drawer │ ├── SRecord the executable │ ├── SRecord.info its icon │ ├── SRecord.guide documentation │ └── Catalogs/ … └── SRecord.info drawer icon (optional)
With LhA in a Shell
cd Work: ; the directory containing SRecord lha -r a RAM:SRecord_1.0.lha SRecord SRecord.info
Avoid
- loose files at the root of the archive;
- build leftovers (
.o, Makefiles) unless it is a source archive; - hidden files from other systems (
__MACOSX,.DS_Store,Thumbs.db).
You don't need to rename the archive: it is saved as Name_Version.lha
from the name and version you enter below. The .readme is a separate text file describing the program
(Aminet style), uploaded with the archive.
