Short: Atari ST/STE/TT/Falcon emulator (unofficial port)
Author: The Hatari developers; MorphOS port: Lastic
Uploader: Lastic (lasticppc@gmail.com)
Type: emulation
Version: 2.6.1
Requires: MorphOS 3.20+, SDL3 libraries (sdl3.library)
Architecture: ppc-morphos
License: GPL-2.0-or-later

Hatari emulates the Atari ST, STE, TT and Falcon. This is an unofficial
MorphOS build of Hatari 2.6.1-devel (git 6c80daaf) using SDL3. It is
not made or supported by the Hatari developers.

New compared to earlier MorphOS builds
- File selector understands AmigaDOS paths: "Up"/"Root" lead to a list
of all volumes and assigns, so disk images can be picked from any
drive.
- GEMDOS hard disk emulation works with any drawer, assign or whole
volume (also Hatari's own drawer), including folder navigation inside
the emulated Atari.
- Fixed a crash with GEMDOS drives (68000 register names clashing with
MorphOS headers).
- Sound dialog: new "Sound buffer size" setting. 80 ms gives much
smoother sound on single core G4 machines.
- PROGDIR based paths: settings (hatari.cfg) and the TOS image live in
the Hatari drawer.
- EmuTOS 1.4 included (etos1024k.img, all languages):
rename it to tos.img before the first start; ReadMe.txt explains this
and how to set the language and keyboard.
- Version string for the Version command.

Installation
- EasyInstall: installs Hatari and the SDL3 libraries it needs.
- By hand: unpack and drag the Hatari drawer where you want it; install
the SDL3 libraries from MorphOS Storage:

Speed tips for G4 machines: see ReadMe.txt (sound buffer 80 ms,
cycle-exact off, GPU scaling off, frame skip 2).

Source code (GPL): Hatari-src-2.6.1 on MorphOS Storage: the complete
Hatari sources with the MorphOS changes, build instructions, and the
changes as a patch against upstream Hatari.

MorphOS port by Lastic, made with the help of Claude Code
(Anthropic's AI coding assistant). Built and tested on a PowerBook G4
15" 1.5 GHz (A1106) and an iBook G4 12" 1.33 GHz (A1133).
