About:


WAManager is an application to help you manage Picasa Web Albums. The goal is to provide
image upload, download, modification and synchronization functionality. This first release
has following functionality implemented:

- user authorization
- album list gathering
- album creation, name, comment and access rights modification
- uploading of images to albums
- checking for already uploaded images

Images can be resized to given dimmensions and recompressed to JPEG format with selected
quality. All image formats for which Datatype or Reggae class exist are supported.

Installation and usage:

WAManager can be used as a standalone application. In this mode You can select any directory
on disk which will be used as a source of images for upload. Second mode is ShowGirls-Integration
mode. When the binary (along with all the distribution files) is placed in ShowGirls main
directory, user can invoke WAManager for selected album contents (Album Manager->Export option).
After this operation, all images from given album will be used as source images for upload
(no source directory can be selected in this mode).

Other options:

DIRECTORY - initial path for images
STORAGEFILE - path to ShowGirls albums.sg file which will be used for obtaining images
GROUP - name of album group (case insensitive) from ShowGirls storage file
ALBUM - name of album (case insensitive) from storage file.

If STORAGEFILE is provided but GROUP and ALBUM are not given, then first album from first
group will be used as a source.

Future:


Future versions should provide following functionality (from most to least important):
- Album download and synchronization (both to local directory and Picasa album).
- More, depending on feedback and my personal needs

Requirements:


MorphOS 2.4 and some free memory for image thumbnails and resampled images.

This software is based in part on the work of the Independent JPEG Group.

SCEW and Expat libraries are used for XML handling.
CURL/OpenSSL libraries is used for network protocol handling.
